William and Mary at Emmeneggar Nature Park

Today I visited the Emmeneggar Nature Park near Kirkwood, Missouri to look for familiar and unfamiliar wilflowers. Along the paved trails Wild Sweet William (Phlox divaricata) was very abundant. These are beautiful plants…but really common in this region.  I then took some of the unpaved trails along a stream bank.  There, I found a wildflower
